Swash flow on rough beach slopes, generated by bore collapse is investigated numerically using the Flow 3D CFD code.The numerical model solves the unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations, the Re-Normalisation Group (RNG) k-ε turbulence model and the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method in order to "track" the free surface and the head of the "current" as it travels along the rough slope.
