The mitochondrion is known as the "powerhouse of the cell",for it provide energy to cell by oxidative phosphorylation.The mitochondria are also dynamic organelles,they fuse and divide to keep the cellular function.Numerous diseases can be generated,such as cancer,neurodegeneration and metabolic disorders,if the balance of mitochondrial fusion and division is altered.Here,we use a promising clonable electron microscopy tag APEX/APEX2 to reveal the location of key proteins in mitochondrial dynamic at relative high resolution,which they are Mid51,Mid49,Mff,Fis1 and Mfn2.
