Research on the performance of exploding bridgewire detonators affected by ESD

  In order to study the performance of exploding bridgewire(EBW)detonators affected by electrostatics discharge(ESD),a ESD simulator was used to bring high voltage stimulus to detonators.Then the damage effects of exploding bridgewire detonators caused by ESD were investigated by microfocus X-ray industrial volume computed tomography(μCT),and the performance parameters of detonators after ESD were tested.The results showed that there is no change observed of detonators when ESD acted on the bridgewire,the performance parameters as well.
