Fluorine is an important trace element of human body and exists widely in our daily life. Thus fluoride detection is important for human health and environmental protection.Fluorescent chemosensor for fluoride detection has attracted broad attention due to its apparent advantages. While most of investigations have largely focused on synthesizing new fluorescent chemosensors and surmising the sensing mechanisms, detailed explanations for sensing mechanisms are still insufficient.Nevertheless, understanding the sensing mechanisms is critical for design and application of fluorescent chemosensors.
