  A strain AC was separated and purified from the polluted soil.It can survive on the condition of phenanthrene used as only carbon source.The stain AC was called Bacillus megaterium based on the results of physio-biochemical identification and the phylogenetical analyses of 16S rDNA sequence.Some effect factors such as initial pH,temperature,carbon source of glucose,initial concentration of phenanthrene and Zn2+ and Mn2+ were discussed in this paper.It showed that under the condition of initial pH and temperature of 7.5~8.5 and 30~40℃ respectively,the removal rate of phenanthrene,Zn2+ and Mn2+ could obtain about 99%,90%~99%and 94%~99%with initial phenanthrene,Zn2+ and Mn2+ concentration of 50~200 mg/L,10~50mg/L,10~50mg/L respectively.The degradation pathway of phenanthrene by the strain AC was through the salicylic acid way based on the key enzyme analysis of Catechol 2,3 一dioxygenase.
