  Drought stress is one of the important environment stresses that greatly limit plant growth and crop production.Maize is considered as one of the most drought sensitive crops,especially,drought stress is easy to occur frequently at maize seedling stage.Therefore,the study on drought adaption mechanism of maize seedlings was investigated using physiological measurements combined with proteomics.In the present study,the third fully expanded leaves were treated with 20 %PEG-6000 for 0,1,3 and 5 days,respectively,biomass,osmoticum (such as malonaldehyde (MDA),soluble sugar and proline),photosynthetic parameters and proteomic was determined.
