grain growth of the Al2TiO5 phase and eventually improve the mechanical and thermal behavior in the temperature range 1300 ℃ to 1450 ℃.Aluminum titanate(Al2TiO5)ceramics is known to exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance due to its interesting characteristics such as low thermal expansion coefficient(1.5*10-6/k),low thermal conductivity and low youngs modulus.It has been extensively used in thermal barriers,corrosion resistant coating,refractory and structural materials in metallurgical and automotive industries because of its unique properties such as high temperature resistance,high refractoriness,good corrosion and chemical resistance.
