  Customization has been proved to be an effective way in satisfying the customer needs.However,current product customization systems focus on the cost and function of product,and the green characteristics are overlooked.As a result,the issue of developing green customization support tool is worthy of concern.This paper addresses the development of a Product Green Customization Support System (PGCSS) in which resource consumption and environment impact factors are integrated.Firstly,the architecture is proposed and the operating procedure is presented.Environmental Materials Inventory database is then built to provide basic data.In particular,a product disassembly tree is discussed in detail for analyzing the composition of product.Furthermore,a seres of evaluating factors and its calculation equations are offered to evaluate resource consumption and environment impacts.Finally,the prototype is developed to verify the methodology proposed in this study.
