  A survey of recent results on illegal additives of fresh aquaculture products sampled during the transportation and retail sale period from Shanghai aquatic products wholesale markets shown the fact that the eugenol,one phenol of the cloves,was commonly used as an anesthetic during storage and transportation.Thus,regulatory detecting and monitoring of eugenol had became an inspection task of Ministry of Agriculture of China.
