Broomrapes (Orobanche and Phelipanche spp.) are obligate root parasites causing a severe damage to many economically important field and vegetable crops all around the world because of their violent extract of water and nutrients from host.Productive and tiny seeds with long-lasting viability contribute to a large seedbank of broomrapes in soil.Meanwhile, the yield losses are always observed after infection.and before the emergence of parasites, which prevent the predication of critical control period. Thus, for the development of efficient control strategy, a better understanding of the complex host-parasite interaction is required.
