C/SiC composites fabricated by melt infiltration process are potential materials for the applications of high-performance structures.Porous C/C is often used as the preform for the fabrication of C/SiC composites, which was obtained by pyrolysis of CFRP at high temperatures. It is known that the mechanical properties, microstructure and phase composition of C/SiC composites, however, are heavily affected by the microstructure features of C/C preform, such as the porosity, crack type etc..
