Purpose:To investigate the effects of several absorption enhancers on the intranasal absorption of 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine phosphate (TMPP).Methods: An in situ nasal perfusion technique was used.Results:At pH 6, the absorption enhancing effect decrease in the following order: 2% Tween80 > 5%HP-β-CD≥1%HP-β-CD > 1%Tween80≥0.5%HP-β-CD > 0.5%Tween80 ≥0.5%β-CD > 0.5%CS (MW=100kDa) ≥0.5%CS (MW=50kDa ≥control group.Conclusion: A remarkable enhancement was observed especially in presence of HP-β-CD and Tween 80.
