Few detailed clinical reports have been presented concerning the perihepatic lymph node (LN) assessment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The present study aimed to evaluate the incidence, site, and effect on the survival of LN metastasis in patients with HCC and who were willing to undergo curative liver resection and routine regional lymphadenectomy.We included 523 patients with HCC and underwent curative hepatic resection and routine regional lymphadenectomy in this study.The incidence, site of LN metastasis, and effect on survival were analyzed.A total of 3,433lymph nodes were dissected from the patients and examined by pathologists.Among these patients, 39 (7.45%) exhibited LN metastasis.The hepatic pedicle, retropancreatic space, and common hepatic artery stations were conventionally removed.
