  The search for time-harmonic solutions of nonlinear Maxwell equations in the absence of charges and currents leads to the following equation {▽×(μ(x)-1▽×E)-ω2ε(x)E = f(x,E)in Ω υ× E = 0 on (e)Ω,for the field E : Ω→R3,where Ω∈R3 is a bounded Lipschitz domain with exterior normal (e)Ω→R3,ε(x)∈ R3×3 is the(linear)permittivity tensor of the material,and μ(x)∈R3×3 denotes the magnetic permeability tensor.
