The laser plasma interaction (LPI) is investigated by re-analyzing the previous experimental results on several instabilities,including laser filamentation,Two Plasmon Decay (TPD),Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS),and Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) etc.These instabilities may either cause the loss of laser energy or the generation of hot electrons and hard x-rays which can preheat the fusion capsule.We have recognized that the laser filamentation plays a significant role in the LPI processes and initiates other instabilities.
