  Repeated application of biosolids to a plantation forest on a poor site significantly improved soil fertility,tree nutrition and growth,and increased carbon storage in the radiata pine stand and the soil.This study suggests that optimum use of biosolids on marginal land was an effective means of increasing carbon sequestration in the forests and soils.
