Object To compare the imaging features and diagnostic value of echocardiography and multidetector CT(MDCT) in partial anomalous pulmonary venous drainage (APVD).Method To summarizes the character of the image in PAPVD and diagnostic value,a retrospective analysis was done in 131 cases diagnosed by echocardiography and MDCT of our centre.Result Among the 79 patients with TAPVC.there are 49 cases (62.0%) supercardiac.23 cases (29.1%) intracardioc,2 cases (2.53%) infracardiac, and 5 cases (6.33%) mixed type. The right pulmonary vein draining to the superior vena cava.the azygos vein and right atrium respectively in 19 cases (24.1%) 7 cases (8.9%) and 15 patients (18.9%).The left pulmonary vein draining into the superior vena cava via the vertical vein in 23 cases (29.1%) ; and draining into the coronary sinus in 8 cases (10.1%).The echocardiography and MDCT has the same diagnosis specificity (98.5%) in the PAPVD patients, but the latter is more sensitive than the former (99.2% vs 91.6%).Conclusion The echocardiographic has a high accuracy in diagnosising APVD,but for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis in some APVD cases, the MDCT is also needed.
