RNA has recently emerged as an important nanotechnology platform due to its diversity and versatility in structure and function.RNA nanoparticles can be fabricated with a level of simplicity characteristic of DNA,while possessing an adaptable tertiary structure and catalytic functions that can mimic some forms of proteins.RNA is unique by virtue of its ability to form both canonical and noncanonical base pairings, capability in base stacking, and distinctive in vivo attributes.
