Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease.C-reactive protein (CRP) directly participates in all stages of atherosclerotic process.Although angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) is capable of inducing CRP generation in human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs), it is unknown whether simvastatin inhibits Ang Ⅱ-induced CRP expression in HAECs.
