Cytokinin signaling utilizes a multi-step phosphorelay involving hybrid histidine kinases, phosphotransfer proteins and response regulators.In Arabidopsis there are 11 response regulators that in addition to a receiver domain contain a myb-like extension characteristic of a transcription factor.These type-B Arabidopsis response regulators (ARRs) are further divided into 3 subclasses based on sequence similarity.
