  光波导放大器利用稀土离子掺杂在波导材料中形成增益介质,当信号光和泵浦光耦合在波导中时,稀土离子在泵浦光的作用下受激辐射实现信号光放大。光波导放大器根据增益介质不同,分为无机光波导放大器和有机光波导放大器,因易于与硅基基质兼容,有机光波导放大器制备工艺成为最有发展前途的光波导器件集成技术之一。
