By coupling a Pt-catalyzed fluorogenic reaction withthe Pt-electrocatalyzed hydrogen-oxidation reaction(HOR),we combine single-molecule fluorescence microscopy withtraditional electrochemical methods to study the real-timedeactivation kinetics of a Pt/C electrocatalyst at single-particlelevel during electrocatalytic hydrogen-oxidation reaction.
