Based on WeChat, this study analyses antecedents and consequences of users perceived information overload in Chinese context.Structural equation model is used in this study.Data collected from 244 WeChat users in China.The results show the following key interesting findings: (1) both amount of information received and length of information will increase users perception of information overload, while the effect of number of official accounts on users perception of information overload is not significant;(2) users perception of information overload has positive effect on users unfollow intention through users negative emotion.Implications for researchers and practice are discussed.
