In biochemical systems, many phenomena such as receptor-ligand unbinding and protein folding occur on long time scales and wide length scales.Experimentally, the unbinding of a receptor-hgand pair could be studied by atomic force microscopy at the single-molecule level, which happens at the millisecond time scale.When the conventional molecular dynamics simulation is used to study this phenomenon, the pulling velocity of AFM cantilever in simulation is six orders faster than that in experiments.
