The effects of a live strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae on gas utilization, metabolite formation and methanogen quantity of two hydrogenotrophic ruminal microorganisms were investigated.A Korean native goat isolated acetogenic bacterial strain (G3),Methanobrevibacter smithii, and S.cerevisiae were mono-cultured and co-cultured using an in vitro method.Modified JCM Balchs methanogen medium added with mix gas after inoculation was used for growth.
