The Suicide Trends in At-Risk Territories (START) study is the outcome of discussions held at the WHO-WPRO meeting held in August 2005 in Manila, with government-nominated participants from 22 countries within the Western Pacific region.The objective of this meeting was to address the growing problem of suicide in the Western Pacific region.
