Background: Multiple antennas are widely applied in the treatment of large hepatocellular carcinoma, because simultaneous energy delivery can produce larger and more confluent ablations in less time.Microwave ablation for multiple antenna research at present is limited to three antennas. This study was to determine the optimal antenna spacing and find the appropriate time to achieve large ablative zones without clefts when microwave ablation is performed with simultaneous activation of four antennas.
