Dengue virus(DENV)is an enveloped virus which belongs to the genus Flavivirus in the family Flaviviridae with a single-stranded,positive-sense RNA genome.DENV causes Dengue fever,Dengue hemorrhagic fever and Dengue shock syndrome in humans.No effective antiviral therapy or vaccine for DENV infection is currently available.Subgenomic RNA(sgRNA)is a product of incomplete degradation of genomic RNA by the cell 5–3 exoribonuclease XRN1 which stalls at conserved secondary RNA structures at the 3 untranslated region(UTR).
