  Objective To study the epidemiology of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children and its relationship to meteorological factors in Suzhou, China.Methods Nasopharyngeal aspirates were obtained from 8157 children hospitalized with acute respiratory tract infections (ARIs) during 2006 to 2010 according to a standard protocol, and were tested for M.pneumoniae-DNA.During January 2009 to December 2010,meteorological factors including mean temperature, relative humidity, rainfall amount, sum of sunshine and mean wind velocity were collected monthly.
