Histone deacetylases are a family of enzymes that catalyze the deacetylation of lysine side chains in chromatin,and these enzymes are involved in a wide range of biological processes,including cell differentiation,proliferation,angiogenesis,and apoptosis.Targeting histone modifiers such as histone deacetylases(HDAC) to restore the expression of tumor suppressor genes has shown clinical benefits.
