A modeling study was undertaken recently to determine the effects of agricultural conservation practice efforts on water quality in the Pacific Northwest Basin (PNWB). The field-scale model, Agricultural Policy Environmental Extender (APEX) was used to simulate the conservation practices on cropland and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land and assess the edge of field water quality benefits.
