Peak铬铁矿是津巴布韦少有的大型透镜状铬铁矿床之一,位于津巴布韦中偏南部,靠近津巴布韦大岩墙,赋存在舒鲁圭(Shurugwi)地区的约3.0 Ga舒鲁圭绿岩带内(Prendergast,2008)。矿床产在一个总厚度为245 m、走向上长度超过1000m的带中,在上部地层部分含有一个80 m厚的部分呈平行分布的含铬铁矿带,每个含铬铁矿带都含有一个北倾60°的扁平管状铬铁矿透镜体,与底砾岩的强烈拉伸线理相平行(Tsomondo and Chitsiku,1997)。矿体呈不规则透镜状出露长度15~400 m,宽几米到几十米不等,在陡 Peak Chromite, one of the few large lenticular chromite deposits in Zimbabwe, is located in the southern part of central Zimbabwe near the Great Wall in Zimbabwe and is located within the about 3.0 Ga Shureugu Greenstone Belt in the Shurugwi region (Prendergast, 2008 ).
