  Ribonucleotide reductase subunit M2B (RRM2B) has been considered to play an important role in DNA synthesis.This study demonstrated silence of RRM2B in cancer cells results in mitochondrial permeability transition pore (MPTP) open, which could be recovered by exogenous spermine.Cell metabolomic analysis showed the spermine level in RRM2B silencing cells was dramatically reduced.
