  The development of non-corrosive heterogeneous catalysts with active acid species that are easily recovered and recyclable is of great significance as direct replacements for liquid acids from an environmental point of view, as well as to improve the overall economical efficiency of chemical reaction process.Many solid acids, including zeolites, heteropolyacids, metal oxides, and ionexchange resins, have been previously developed and reported for use in acid-catalyzed organic reactions.However, in the absence of co-additives, these types of heterogeneous catalysts suffer from the disadvantages of relatively low catalytic activity under equimolar conditions, acidities that are difficult to adjust, and a lack of stability.
