Alumina-supported MoS2/γ-A12O3 was prepared through impregnating with aqueous solution of ammonium tetrathiomolybdate (thiosalt) and its complexing agent.The oxidation catalyst MoO3/γ-A12O3 made from ammonium heptamolybdate (oxysalt) with the same loading of molybdenum was adopted as the comparison.The morphology and dispersion of MoS2 on two used catalysts was investigated by means of high resolution transmission electron microscopy.
