Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a class of plant specific steroid hormones and play essential role in regulating various developmental processes in plants.BRs are perceived by a cell surface leucine-rich repeat (LRR) receptor serine/threonine kinase, BRI1.Without BRs,a negative regulator BKI1 specifically interacts with BRI1 and inhibits BRI1 activity.BR treatment induces a rapid dissociation of BKI1 from the plasma membrane.
