As a renewable source of natural drugs, plant cell culture has drawn considerable research interests.Yet there are a few commercial applications due to low and non-reproducible metabolite yields[1,2] and hence a challenging task to scale-up from laboratory to industrial scale.Qian et al.[3] achieved a high yield of Tc production in the Taxus chinensis cell culture with repeated elicitation and sucrose feeding.
