Compared to the well-documented greenhouse gas exchanges between aquatic andatmosphere in individual aquatic ecosystems as rivers,lakes,estuaries and wetlands,there isrelatively little information on the GHGsproduction and emission in the integrate continuumaquatic ecosystem such as natural wetlands and its adjacent aquatic area: uprivers,lakes anddownrivers.This study was conducted to estimate CH4and N2O concentrations and emissionsfrom natural wetlands and their adjacent aquatic ecosystems across a cascade of upriver-wetland-lake-downriver continuum in Poyang Lake water system in flood season of 2013.
