Ethnopharmacological relevance: Andrographis paniculata (Burm.F.) Nees (Chuan-xin-lian) has been widely used in China, India, and other Southeast Asian countries for a long time and has been effective in the treatment of the common cold, fever and diarrhea.According to the previous studies reported, a sensitive and rapid liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method using multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) was developed for the simultaneous determination of andrographolide (AP), dehydroandrographolide (DP) and neoandrographolide (NP) in beagle dog plasma after oral administration of A.paniculata tablet.
