Level of cognition regarding a principle determines human behavior.Similarly, corporate social responsibility (CSR) requires the cognition of the individuals for practices.Although literature indicates that culture, professional posts, experience of the experts may affect their perception towards CSR, little studies comprehensively discuss the factors that differentiate the perception toward CSR.In this study, data mining techniques are mainly used to mine a database for classification of CSR perception, discovering the information embedded in the data without existing knowledge.The authors conducted a survey with the inputs from experts of industrial practitioners experts with different background.With a total of 105 data, cluster analysis was performed to determine the factors affecting of CSR cognition based on the clustering categories, including location of the affiliated organization, corporate type, job posts,job experience, international project management experience, job posts, etc.The result illustrates that location of the affiliated organization is the most significant factor that differentiate CSR perceptions.The results provide a more confound understanding of the factors that differentiate CSR perception which can be deemed as the major consideration of crosscultural training in order to improve CSR performance and used as a major factor to explore more about the aspects in CSR perception.
