  Although research on the application of power ultrasound to food freezing process has made great progress,there are still some problems need further discussion.The mechanism of ultrasound-assisted food freezing is not clear enough and the numerical calculation models relevant to ultrasound-assisted food freezing are few,which lead to many deficiencies in the practical application.Based on an extensive review of the literature,recent research progress on mechanism,modeling and numerical simulation of ultrasound-assisted food freezing are reviewed in this paper.
