Comparison of Soil Property Map to Rice Yieldmap of Paddy Field

  The soil property information and yield information are fundamentals of field management for conducting chemical inputsor predicting sales.If the relationship between soil property information and yield information isdirectly fixed, it could be easy to manage farms correctly.But due to the other influence factors, for example, fertilization, changeable weather and nutrient uptake characteristics and so on,the soil property information and yield informationcan't be correlated directly.In this paper, it isinvestigated that the degree of contributions made by soil property to yield in paddy field.Eighteen paddy plant samples and 88 flesh soil samples with GPS data were picked from paddy field for measuring unhulled rice weight and chemical analysis(moisture content, pH, electrical conductivity, nitrogen-total, available phosphorus,exchangeable potassium) in laboratory.Then bubble graphswere made by unhulled rice weight data and chemical analysis results.The size of the bubble stands for deviation value.By observing the deviation degree of unhulled rice weight and soil properties between each two positions, it was judged that the soil property made a contribution to yield or not.Knowing the degree of contribution is helpful to keep the soil ability for sustainable agriculture.Soil mapping strategy using a real-time soil sensor and yield mapping strategy using combine-harvester with a yield meter will be also discussed.
