High Dielectric permittivity of CCTO-Based Ceramic and its response mechanism

  High dielectric behaviors and nonlinear electrical have been investigated in the TiO2-riched and Mn-doped CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics.The addition of TiO2 makes the corresponding activation energy and potential barrier height increase,which should be ascribed to the variation of the grain boundary characteristics.With the Mn doping increasing,the dielectric constant drops from~104 to~102,and the nonohmic properties,along with potential barriers of the samples are gradually weakened.Based on the IBLC theory,the activation energy of grain and grain boundary become almost same,and then IBLC effect is not effective,thus cause the large reduction of dielectric constant at room temperature.
