Controlling Majorana qubit with Landau-Zener Process

  In this work,we study the Landau-Zener-Stuckelberg interferences in a Majorana qubit[1,2],and show that it achieves a controlled rotation on the qubit state.The system consists of a rf SQUID with one Majorana Josephson junction[3],in which a Majorana qubit is formed by the two Majorana bound states near the tunneling barrier.We apply an asymmetric magnetic pulse through the SQUID,to enforce the evolution of the phase difference across the junction.The Majorana qubit experience two Landau-Zener transitions in pulse one period.The interference between the two transitions rotates the Majorana qubit state,which is controllable by varying the time scale of the pulse.This rotation implements a single-qubit gate on the Majorana qubits,which is a necessary ingredient for topological quantum computation.
