在张家口市339万农业人口中,农村成年妇女占去了84万。近十几年来,特别是“双学双比”活动开展以来,广大农村妇女在林果庭院经济开发中大显身手,成绩斐然。到1993年底,全市共建起林果庭院25万户,形成商品规模的5万余户,总收入7800多万元。许多乡村的林果庭院经济已经发展成为林果基地的重要组成部分,是农民经济收入的重要来源。林果庭院经济的发展使一大批农村妇女成为家庭的主事者。阳原县石盆村共120户人家,过去是有名的贫困村。1986年,全村妇女提出“先栽树,后圈墙,有了效益再盖房”的倡议,利用两三年时间,家家户户庭院内建起葡萄园或种植了其它果树,到1993年收入均超千元,其中72户超过2000元。怀来县东暖泉乡共1466户农家,有1200户妇女建起了
