Several new equipment were introduced in the September 1977 issue of Concrete Institute Magazine: Concrete Rig US AEG Power Tools has developed an electric hammer drill that drills holes at high speeds in concrete, masonry, and steel-wood structures. The 3/4-inch (19mm) electric hammer rig can impact 46,000 impacts per minute during normal operation with electronic brain features that constantly monitor the speed of drilling and automatically adjust the power supply to match the desired speed The rig has a seven - crotch control panel that can select any speed from 250 to 3700 rpm. The gearbox has a speed selector that selects speed in low and high torque ranges. There is no lubrication on the unit
