以寺为中心,逐渐发展为城,是西藏高原众多城镇兴起的共同特点。拉萨、日喀则、昌都,都是先有寺院然后才有城市。拉萨以大昭寺、布达拉宫为中心,日喀则有著名的扎什伦布寺,昌都有强巴林寺。寺院众多的僧人需要吃饭、喝水,便聚集了为此服务的差民,逐渐形成定居点。商人也前来做生意,甚至定居,便出现了城市。扎达也不例外。作为一个古老的城镇,它是随着托林寺的兴建而形成的,托林寺的出现则是佛教复兴的结果。
Taking the temple as the center and gradually developing into a city are common features that have arisen in many towns and cities on the Tibetan Plateau. Lhasa, Shigatse, Qamdo, are the first temples before there is a city. Lhasa to Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace as the center, Xigaze has a famous Tashilhunpo, Qamdo strong Balin Temple. Monks with many monasteries need to eat and drink, and they gather the poor people who serve this purpose and gradually form settlements. Businessmen came to do business, and even settled, they appeared in the city. Zada is no exception. As an ancient town, it was formed with the construction of the Tolin Monastery, and the appearance of the Tory Monastery was the result of the revival of Buddhism.
