In January of this year, 27 bronzes unearthed in Yangjia Village, Meixian County, Shaanxi Province shook the academic world. These 27 pieces of bronze ware were mostly found in the late Western Zhou Dynasty. In the Zhou Xuan era, pieces of inscriptions were inscribed, totaling more than 4000 words, listing the names of the 12 emperors except for the last Zhou Youwang in the 13 emperors of Western Zhou Dynasty and some important historical facts. By reading the inscriptions on some of these objects, experts believe that these bronzes mainly record the history of a “single” clan. The owner of the bronze ware is a man called “speed”, and both he and his ancestors were of the Western Zhou Dynasty Heavy minister.
