Symptoms of allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis include immediate reaction (IPR) and delayed response (LPR). IPR is an acute reaction that results in increased vascular permeability and bronchoconstriction due to degranulation of mast cells. Miscanthus sinensis is similar to cereals. The authors have reported that water extract from Mount Amur can inhibit murine IgE-mediated biphasic IPR and LPR skin reactions.
