According to the latest WTO report: In mid-August this year, WTO Director-General Moore has officially invited 647 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the world to attend the forthcoming WTO Ministerial Conference to be held in Doha, Qatar on November 9. This is the new round of multilateral trade negotiations initiated by the WTO following the failure of the Seattle meeting. What is remarkable is that WTO has included dialogue with non-governmental organizations in the agenda of this trade negotiation and has named these non-governmental organizations as a new term for the “Civil Society.” Moore called these NGOs from all parts of the world and engaged in activities that also covered all areas of WTO trade negotiations.
